Fujiyoshida Campus

Located near the base of Mt. Fuji and rich in nature, the Fujiyoshida Campus is a fully-residential campus that hosts the 1st year students from the four schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and nursing and rehabilitation sciences. Students share rooms in mixed groups from all four schools and follow a curriculum in which they study and participate in practical training together. This provides the optimal environment for honing the communication skills that are essential to medical practitioners.

Along with 2 dormitories for male and female students, the campus is equipped with a cafeteria, laboratories for students and staff, a library, a garden of pharmaceutical plants, gymnasium, heated in-door pool, track and field, baseball field, rugby field, tennis courts, and a horse stable and riding area. In Fall 2016, a new gymnasium, "Fujiyoshida Square Garden", was built and houses a basketball court, two volleyball courts, and locker rooms. Beautiful lakes, such as Lake Yamanaka, which is visited by swans in winter, are nearby.
